The concierge approach is, in my opinion, the best approach. Dr. Franklin is in this system. He does not make rash decisions about your health, he watches your lab results and other tests over time and slowly, but effectively, make changes. I would compare the concierge approach to other doctors. Based on minimal payments from insurance companies traditional M.D.'s cannot take the time that you need, you receive rushed and often misjudged service. Also, traditional MD's rush to pharmaceutical drugs and do not give alternative therapies much chance. N.D.'s are a big problem, and the opposite of traditional MD's. N.D.'s want to sell you all the supplements they can because that's their big profit margin. Think of them only as a supplement store with a sale consultant on hand. This is a conflict of interest and should be outlawed. Also, I have also found ND's to be generally incompetent. In Dr. Franklin's concierge system "east meets west", he offers non traditional therapies as well as pharmaceutical drugs (if and when needed). Dr. Franklin receives adequate payments from your yearly subscription payments combined with billings to your Insurance carrier, this allow him the time needed to take care of you. He does not push what little in house supplements he does sell, in fact he informs you where else you can obtain them (that never happens with an ND!). If you think you can't afford a concierge Doctor ask yourself this; Can I afford a misdiagnosis? Believe me, you can't. It happened to both my wife and I at our previous two ND Doctors, one in Carmel and the other in Monterey. We paid dearly with mis diagnosed health problems, improper medication and over medication which exasperated existing health problems. With the Concierge approach, unlike ND's, there is no need for earnings from unproven and potentially unsafe supplement sales. Dr. Franklin offers by far the best expertise and business/medical structure to adequately deal with your health. I will never go back to the traditional MD. or ND. doctor arrangement. Dr. Franklin will be my doctor for life, he should be yours!
